Missing Cats in Bramley Area of Rotherham

I would just like to make you aware about cats that are been stolen again in our area.  Two of my cats have disappeared in the space of 4 weeks where I live and there are also other reports of cats missing here.  This started happening last year at Bramley/Woodlaithes Village in September  where nearly 80 cats vanished in our area, the police/Rotherham Advertiser were informed, but nothing ever came of it. No-one came forward with any information despite this going on the local radio as well.

I contacted the police myself due to two of my cats gone again this month making it 3 in 2 years.  The police are now taking the matter seriously and want people to be aware of this.  There were rumours last year that a local milk man was stealing them from Rotherham, but nothing was proved and now this year there has been a sighting of someone in a white van who was seen grabbing a cat in Bramley, but they were unable to get a licence plate and make of van etc. We do not know what is happening to all these cats but hopefully the more people who do get in touch with Rotherham police the better and hopefully these people will be caught!   Rawmarsh police are dealing with any enquiries you may have on  01709 832426.  If you have any information on this or if you are from this area and you think your cat(s) have been stolen please contact the police.  The thieves may also be targeting other areas! So be warned. My cats were taken on a Saturday day time, the last cat was stolen at night, so it appears they are taking any time.

Someone must know something about this. If you do please get in touch with the police.

When contacting us, it would be appreciated if you mention that you found us through our Rotherham Rescue Website.
