Outdoor Homes Desperately Needed
If you live on a farm or have a safe garden, small holding
or outbuildings and could consider giving a home to a couple of these (spayed
female) cats please contact us at
tammy555@btinternet.com or 07789 003 805, or 07788 597 076.
Please remember the cats will have to be confined in a shed/outbuilding until
they are accustomed to their new home.
When we are asked to help with feral cats living semi wild in gardens, they are
almost always just pet cats who have been abandoned and had to fend for
themselves and as no-one has cared enough to have them neutered the females
invariably have kittens. We catch the kittens and provided they
are young enough they go to one of our foster homes until they are tame and
ready to be re-homed.
Many of the adult cats are too afraid of humans to be able to adapt to living in
a home, therefore we pay to have them neutered/spayed and where possible return
them to the area they know.
Sometimes this is
not possible because the area may be near a busy road, or in the case of the ones we
need to relocate now, there is a danger of them being poisoned by a neighbour!
So far we have spayed one female and are hoping to catch the other 2 or 3 (all
females) in the next few days so that we can also get them spayed. They can be re-homed
in two's or more but not separately as they are a family group.
Please if you can help get in touch.
